Roslyn Primary School takes pride in its development of environmental initiatives. We are a part of the AussiVic ResourceSmart Schools initiative where schools take action to minimise waste, save energy and water, promote biodiversity and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Through this initiative, we will reduce costs while providing students with the opportunity to learn about sustainability in a tangible and realistic environment. Our program aims to instill a feeling of environmental responsibility in all our students.
At Roslyn Primary School we have implemented a co-mingled recycling system, where paper, cardboard, plastics, glass, metal and aluminium are all recycled.
To ensure the longevity of our Sustainability Program, Roslyn Primary School has elected a Sustainability Coordinator who works alongside a sustainability team to implement a whole-school approach to sustainability.
Through curriculum programs and policy development, we endeavour to make sustainability a strong base for all decision-making.
