Our mission as a staff at Roslyn Primary School is to ensure consistency across our classrooms, so, no matter what classroom you visit, you will see the same key processes, such as a daily timetable, a Learning Intention and Success Criteria for each lesson, and individual student goals, as well as the same language consistent across each classroom. This includes our approach to positive behaviour management, and management of student wellbeing.
This means that students transition from one classroom to the next across years, with confidence in understanding what is expected of them. At the end of each year students will come together as their new classroom to meet their new teacher. They begin to discuss elements of our ‘Blast Off! Program’. For students requiring extra transitioning, this occurs over a longer period of time to help them adjust to the changes.
